Prune Ash Tree.See attachment covering site location plan, photographs and owner's consent, The Owner is Jennifer Atyeo ( any risk and responsibility for public and employee safety and liability remains with the owner of the trees)Reason: Belvidere Road is part of the Duryard Trust and is therefore a private road, however it is also used by the public as part of the Exeter City Council's 'Green Circle Walking Route'. Two branches which form a V from one of the main branches close to the trunk of the tree, have grown so long that in some cases they are at head height to passes by. In windy conditions, the branches physically hit people, we have found it difficult getting into our cars in the drive due to the movement of the branches. Large lorries, such as the refuge lorries continually knock branches off when they drive down the lane. Furthermore the Ash is rubbing against the Oak therefore it has been recommended by a tree surgeon that the two forked branches are pruned back past the rubbing, this will enable the existing Oak which has been intertwined with the Ash to grow more healthily.
