A few years ago I helped build Perenna, a UK mortgage lender with an ambitious goal: to make this a nation of happy homeowners through long-term fixed-rate mortgages.
The best part of that job was the conversations. I sat down with hundreds of people to talk about their home buying experience. One word came up again and again.

Buying a home is the biggest financial decision most of us ever make, and yet so many people go into it half-blind — trusting that someone, somewhere, has checked the things that matter.

That never sat right with me. Because if buying a home feels like a leap into the unknown, the answer isn't another property portal showing you the same listings as everyone else.
