East Norton, Leicester, LE7 9XL

East Norton is a small village and parish located in the east of Leicestershire, adjoining the A47 Leicester to Uppingham road. According to the 2001 Census, it remains a modest settlement. The area is near Leicester Cathedral, a Church of England cathedral in Leicester, England, which is one of the city centre's five surviving medieval churches. St Martin's was elevated to a collegiate church in 1922 and made a cathedral in 1927 following the establishment of a new Diocese of Leicester in 1926.
