The tree is very wide and encroaches into the neighbouring garden and the canopy edge is very close to the house. The tree is overly dominant in regard to both the tree owner and the neighbours properties and significantly hinders the reasonable enjoyment of their garden areas. Lawson Cypress trees have little to no ability to regrow from heavily cut lateral branches. Consequently, there is no feasible way of managing the crown, by reducing the canopy spread to within reasonable proportions. Therefore, the only sensible option is to allow the removal of this tree and replace it with a more suitable species, replacement tree.
