Acomb, York, YO24 4LW

Acomb, North Yorkshire, is a village and civil parish within the City of York unitary authority. The locality lies on the western side of York, covering the site of the original village mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. It is bordered by the suburbs of Holgate to the east, Clifton to the north, and Woodthorpe to the south. The western boundary abuts fields close to the A1237, York Outer Ring Road. As a suburb of York, Acomb provides a rural character while remaining within easy reach of the city’s services and infrastructure.
