Aldington is a village and civil parish in the Ashford District of Kent, England. The village centre lies eight miles (13 km) south‑east of the town of Ashford. Set on a steep escarpment above agricultural Romney Marsh and the upper Stour, the area includes Aldington Knoll, which was used as a Roman burial barrow and later beacon. From the knoll one can see a panorama towards the English Channel and low land such as Dungeness. The 2021 Census recorded the population of the parish, which includes Bonnington.
