According to the 2011 Census, the civil parish had a population of 174, indicating a small, close-knit community. The locality lies near the outskirts of Coventry, which is positioned between the West Midlands and Warwickshire. The University of Warwick, a public research university founded in 1965, is located on the outskirts of Coventry and serves as a significant landmark in the region. The university’s development included the establishment of Warwick Business School in 1967, Warwick Law School in 1968, Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) in 1980, and Warwick Medical School in 2000.
