APPLICATION FOR WORKS TO PROTECTED TREE(S)TPO 776/1996, GROUP 1 G1, 38 x Wellingtonia - Proposing to build a mound of 600cm high by 1m wide by importing 400 tonnes of soil to run up either side of the driveway on the grass verges. All works would be carried out from the existing tarmac road and no machinery would venture on to the verges. The trees have suffered no damage from having a tarmac road runnning through the middle of them and the proportion of the area of the root that this mound would cover would be minimal. We had proposed using Grade B soil which grass and plants freely grow in.
