Cleeve Hill is the highest point in the Cotswolds hill range and in Gloucestershire, rising to 330 m. It is situated on Cleeve Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest managed by the Cleeve Common Trust. From the hill you can see Cheltenham and the racecourse to the west, the River Severn and Wales further out, and Winchcombe to the north. The hill is a prominent outcrop on the limestone escarpment’s edge and is crossed by the Cotswold Way footpath. Bishop’s Cleeve, the village at the hill’s foot, had a population of 10,612 in 2011.
