This application relates to the previously-approved applications (19/5180C and 20/3094C) and Permitted Development PDQ/0094/20. 1. Move the north-facing kitchen wall out by between 60-90cm to be flush with the bedroom wall above. The planned layout for the original application (19/5180C) featured a first floor bedroom overhanging the existing kitchen wall below it. This overhang/cantilever was identified so as to avoid extending the kitchen wall over an underground culvert. Once the approved building work began, it became obvious that the ground conditions were poor; as a consequence, numerous piles had to be installed to support the required structure. The structural engineer's revised design resulted in pilings straddling the culvert, and with them re-positioning the kitchen wall (supported on pilings) under the proposed upper floor wall. Removing the cantilever was a far simpler construction solution, removing the need for un-necessary steel beams. As the current gable-end was not perpendicular to the building, the resultant kitchen wall has moved out between 60cm at one end to 90cm at the other. 2. Replace the window in the dormer for bedroom 2 with a Juliet balcony and accompanying French doors
