    The tree is dying. Branches have already fallen off: there are holes in the trunk (see photo 4 attached) and fungus (photo 3). We wish to fell to avoid a more catastrophic collapse of the tree. We are not sure whether to replant because the area is becoming dominated by the adjacent silver birches at 20 Ashen Green which have been allowed to grow unchecked. In the attached photographs (notably photo 1) most of the greenery visible is from these neighbouring trees rather than ours it was difficult to take a photo which would distinguish them.
