    In report

Internal and external alterations to existing garage to facilitate further living accommodation and storage. We are changing the flat roof to be slopedto add addition height internally and longevity to the roof. The existing garage and carport are joined to the left hand side of the house when viewed from the street. The front garage wall / door will be moved forward to next to the front door of the house (still within the area of the existing carport). A window will be put into this wall ie facing the street. An interior door will be created between the hall of the house and the new living area in place of the existing house windows. The roof is currently a flat roof at a height of 2.6m from the ground. This will be made into a sloped roof with the highest point attached to the house below the upstairs house windows (3.6m high so raising the existing highest point by 1m). This would be the highest point and is 2.67m away from the property boundary. The back of the existing garage will be sectioned off to remain as a storage area. The existing rear door will be left unchanged. There will be no access from the storage area to the new living space. The front section will be used as a reading/ 2nd living room.
