T1 - Ash tree approximately 9m in height - Roughly 8.5m from the house(nearest the house - No.5 Prospect Close)This tree has been a nuisance for its current and previous owners, on previous applications it has been declared that the tree is in poor condition as it is covered in Fungus and Decay. There is a clump of x4 Ash trees; two in No.5 Prospect Close and x2 in the neighboring property but this one is in the worst condition. The house was built in 1987, in 1988 the owners applied to fell the tree, however the council responded and claimed the tree was aesthetically pleasing and couldn't be removed. In 2004 another application was made and again declined, the tree officer stated that the tree will need constant pollarding and maintenance, the owners then proceeded to leave the tree with no works done for 9 years; as you can imagine this has had a detrimental affect on the trees health and condition. It is not not aesthetically pleasing at all and is more of an eye sore if anything! The customer wants the tree completely removed as she says it is no longer aesthetically pleasing, there is actually a much nicer Eucalyptus tree behind which is in much better condition and looks x10 better so removing the horrid Ash tree would allow this Eucalyptus to be seen and thrive.Hannah and ourselves are worried, as the tree is in such poor health and condition, that it could cause damage to the house or anything nearby if we have strong weather; it is only 8.5m approx from the house and the tree itself is around 9/10m. Please take this application as a request to completely remove the tree.If we are still not allowed to completely then please specify what works would be approved or if there is a way we can remove the tree and replace it with another?
