T8 & T9 - Lawson Cypress x2 (in front garden) - Fell to ground level. T5 - Horsechestnut = Lift by 5.5m over the road and 2.5m over the footpath. T8 and T9 Lawson Cypresses - Fell to ground level. Reasons for works: Since the TPO was made, the protected trees T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6 have grown such that trees T8 and T9 are hardly visible from the road and, as such, no longer add to the visual amenity of the area. (see attached street view photographs). They are now blocking the driveway and the view of the property as well as the view from the property. Their removal would allow more light into the property. They are oversized for their location. There are brown patches and a hole. (see attached photograph) Any work to the trees would ruin their appearance and there is no work that can be carried out to keep them looking aesthetically pleasing. Given the changes over the last 37 years and the above reasons regarding visual amenity, it would not be appropriate to replant. T5 - Horse Chestnut = Lift by 5.5m over the road and 2.5m over the footpath. Reasons for works: In order to comply with the Highways Act 1980. The trees do not add visual amenity to the area. They are blocking the driveway and the view of the property. To allow more light into the property. They are oversized for their location. You cannot see the trees from the road. There are brown patches and a hole. Any work to the trees would ruin the appearance and there is no work that can be carried out to keep them looking aesthetically pleasing.
