- Aug 2019Tree WorksTreesIn report
Approval requested to fell a 20m high Holmoak tree in garden situated just 10m to the southwest (the prevaliling wind direction) of property. Tree was crown topped (reduced) about 4 years ago to try to reduce ts sail area - the danger of it falling onto the house was apparent then. Its bole is hollow - through rot 0 and its root base is raised about 600mm above ground level, other large homoaks in the garden have fallen due to the failure of the root structure. Te tree could fall on the SW elevation house where the main bedroom and the ritting rooms are. Other rees in the garden seem to be fairing much better - there is an equally high sycamore next to the holmoak yet it is swaying far less than the holmoak.
