I would like to request permission for the tree to be felled because it was likely causative for my garden wall (brick) being blown down in storm Chiara and it's position is preventing re-building of the wall. The holly tree was growing abutting the garden wall with roots growing under the wall and up the side of the wall. The entirety of the back wall to the garden was blown down during storm Chiara (approximately 20 metres of wall), I have received insurance money to re-build the wall but the holly tree is preventing this because of it's position adjacent to the foundations and because of the root growth. Therefore the tree needs to be removed in order for the wall to be built. I would be very happy to plant a tree somewhere else in the garden in the near vicinity but further away from the new wall. Losing the wall leaves the garden and house very vulnerable, and given I am a female living alone in the house, re-building the wall is a priority for me.Decision
