By reducing the tree now we would avoid the need for a the heavier reduction, keeping pruning cuts to a minimum diameter. Pruning was last approved 7 years ago.The tree dominates the lawn area of the garden, limiting the owners enjoyment of that area of the garden due to excessive shading.
