Front of Number 23 T1 - Sycamore Fell as close to ground level as possible. Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth. Provision of Mobile Elevating Works Platform To ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently ALL ITEMS INCLUDING REMOVING ARISING DEBRIS, LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY. The requested works to fell to tree to ground level are for health and safety reasons. The tree splits into 2 main stems from the base and stands around 18m in height. There is substantial rot and decay in and around the base which poses a reasonable risk of the tree failing. I don't believe doing a weight reduction with added bracing would solve this issue completely and would still be an unacceptable risk.
