Hurn, Christchurch, BH23 6AA

Hurn is a neighbourhood within the town and civil parish of Christchurch, Dorset, located on the south coast of England. Christchurch had a population of 31,372 in 2021 and is part of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary authority, which was formed in 2019 after the borough of Christchurch was incorporated into the new administrative structure. The town adjoins Bournemouth to the west and the New Forest to the east, placing residents in close proximity to both urban amenities and natural landscapes. Historically, Christchurch was part of Hampshire before becoming part of Dorset in 1974. The area is therefore characterised by its coastal setting, its role within a larger urban and natural corridor, and its recent administrative integration into a larger unitary authority.
