The tree concerned is Sycamore. It is believed to have been planted by bird strike and is at the end of land owned by me but could also be part owned by; Mr & Mrs G Prescott of Boxhall, Back leeming BD22 9NL We are unsure whether I or the Mr and Mrs Prescott are the exact owner that the land is on. All parties mentioned here have been consulted and are in agreement that the tree should be removed for the reasons that I will outline. The tree sits on land that is above property owned by Mr & Mrs Durham of 1, Crossley Bridge, Back Leeming. They have a dry stone wall holding back earth that the tree sits on, their garden then slopes precipitously down towards their house. The trees roots are pushing stones out of the wall, exposing them and making the tree unsteady. This wall was rebuilt a couple of years ago, but is in a poor state again. We have had an arborist look at the tree who will fell it for us should you agree. He tells me that it is not dangerous but it is unstable and does require dealing with as soon as we are able. It has been 'topped' in the past. Mr and Mrs Durham are very concerned about the tree and the damage it would cause if it did come down in a storm.Ms Paddy Russell of 36 Back Leeming has land that meets near the border with the tree. She states it is not on her land but again agrees with its removal. All parties will make a financial contribution to its removal. It is not intended to replant as the area is not appropriate for a tree.
That can mean the property has never traded since the registry began publishing in 1995, was a new build that hasn't been registered yet, or is held in the same hands long-term.
