I would like to convert our garage into a dog grooming salon. The premises is fully insulated and sound proof to avoid disturbance to the neighbours. There is a drive-way big enough for 2 vehicles and space on the front of the house, although there would only be one car visiting per time for dropping off and collecting, staying for approximately 5 - 10 minutes. My car would be on the drive during the hours of business but this would still leave room for a second car and additional space on the front. The field opposite 4 brook gardens attracts a lot of dog walkers, this also has a large carpark. It is to my knowledge from communicating with the public on the field that they would likely walk there dogs as usual before taking them to the grooming salon and parking in there usual place on the provided car park. Thus haven't no additional impact to either the Cul-De-Sac or carpark. The salon would be open 09.00 - 17.00 Monday - Friday and 08.00 - 12.00 on Saturdays and would apply strict appointment times. It would stay closed on a Sundays and bank holidays. I, the applicant will be the only employee. Washing of the dogs will require approximately 25 litres of water per day which will be disposed of along with the main house foul water waste. Other waste such as nail clippings and hair will be disposed of via the local land fill facility. I would also like to have a business sign on the front of the property to advertise my business to the dog walkers across from the property. The salon would have one grooming table, one bath and one large pen which a dog may spend a short period of time in upon waiting to be collected by their owner.
