- Apr 2010RenovationHeritageOutcome in report
Repair cracks in the stone work of the front (south facing) wall of the 18th century extension on the eastern end of the property. Cracks extend upwards from ground level through the ground floor window stone cill and continue upwards around the outside bedroom window above, ending at the gutter stone at the top. Repairs will entail re-bonding of stone work, saving good sound stones and stitching broken stones where possible, together with replacement of the ground floor window stone surround to match the original design. On completion of the above, replacement of the single glazed upper and lower windows of the 1960's fanlight design, with wooden framed double glazed (5mm cavity) sash 'Georgian' style windows in keeping with the building period of the extension.
