Moreton is a hamlet south of the market town of Thame in South Oxfordshire, England. The parish of Thame, which includes Moreton, has a population of 11,561 according to the 2011 Census. Thame lies about 13 miles east of Oxford, 10 miles southwest of Aylesbury, and 40 miles northwest of London. The River Thame runs along the north side of the town and forms part of the county border with Buckinghamshire. Thame was founded in the Anglo‑Saxon era and was part of the kingdom of Wessex. The locality falls within the OX 9 postal district.
