This property is located in Thenford, a village within the OX 17 postal district of West Northamptonshire, known for its rural setting and proximity to the historic Thenford House.
Thenford is a village and civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of the market town of Brackley in West Northamptonshire, England. The locality is home to Thenford House, an 18th‑century country house built for Michael Wodhull, the bibliophile and translator. The house, constructed between 1761 and 1765, is designed in a Palladian style with Carolean echoes, described by Pevsner as “decidedly conservative for its date”. Since the 1970s, the house has been the country home of Michael Heseltine, who has developed a notable arboretum in the grounds. Thenford House is a Grade I listed building. The village lies within the OX 17 postal district and is part of the West Northamptonshire district.
