    We request permission to remove two tree that have large basal cavities, they are close to the house and the resident is suffering anxiety at living so close to trees that have structural faults and a reduced expected life span. The home owner has a large plot and is offering to plant additional trees, albeit somewhat further away from the property. T1 Lime 18m 550 mm DBH has a large cavity extending from the base up to 4 meters with a depth of approximately 250 mm - removal & replace. T2 Mature Beech 18 m 700 m DBH bifurcates at 4 m with a tight union covered in ivy possibly included. The tree is leaning slightly and weighted towards the house with a very large basal cavity on the opposite side that has started to rot with no sign of compartmentalisation. - Removal & replace.
