Cockernhoe is one of several hamlets that make up the civil parish of Offley, situated in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire, England. The parish is positioned between the towns of Hitchin to the east and Luton to the west, with the northern part lying within the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Chiltern Hills. The parish covers most of the area between these two towns and includes numerous smaller settlements such as Little Offley, Cockernhoe and Tea Green. At the western edge of the parish, adjoining Luton, lies the Putteridge Bury estate, now a campus of the University of Bedfordshire. According to the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 1,646 people.
