- Apr 2025Tree WorksTreesIn report
Tree work approval has been granted previously on another application that was not carried out reference number AT/16/0249/TB. Some additional work has been proposed with details attached to the schedule of works and map. This is for Re - pollarding on the majority with some minor pruning reduction works for an unreasonable relationship with the neighbouring property That will not significantly impact the tree or its amenity with the surrounding landscape. Please see annotated photo of G002. Clearance to be circa 2-3m from the building. I would not estimate it to be no greater than 75mm at max to the finished cuts. The Lime pollards will be pruned back to the original boilings/knuckles. If possible could this work be put on a cyclical basis.

Evergreen Oak (T1) Fell & remove. Reasons: Formation of weak included union at base (see photo). Tree roots lifting and causing damage to driveway surface (see photo). Tree leans approx. 20 degrees to East with bias crown. Root flares have distorted & broken adjacent steps & hard landscaping causing trip hazard and need for repair works. Trees' situation is unsustainable to be allowed to reach its ultimate potential size in this confined location.Replanting not advised due to extensive surrounding tree cover.
