Tree to fell . The tree is from the pine tree family - Abies fir . The height of the tree is 20 to 25 metres . The tree has a split fork at the top that increase its sway . The tree is about 9m from the house . The base of the tree is almost levelled with the house's roof due to the garden steep incline of about 45 degree . The garden ground base is shale . The work done by No7 in June this year - see application No AT/2018/0054 - removing a number of mature trees has left our tree directly exposed to new elements and the prevailing winds WSW . Also, back in February Jamie Northcott of Trees in Need removed the lime tree (1m diameter trunk) that had been damaged by the new year's storm. . Attached self-explanatory sketch and photos . Due to the incline, the prevailing winds and the closeness of the house, the tree can only fall in one direction. . I would replant a tree but further up the garden away from the house . In the last 5 years, 6 mature trees have fallen in our garden during the winter storms. . Should you wish to meet on site to discuss this, please contact me to arrange a mutual convenient day and time.
