The proposed works involve the removal of a section of non structural partition wall 1.9M wide [from floor to ceiling] this will allow access from within the property to a store room currently accessible only from the outside of the building. This will connect an existing stub of corridor space [910mm x 1970mm with access to nowhere] to the storeroom creating an additional study room. The existing outer door to the storage room will be sealed shut with a new concrete block wall constructed behind the lower section of the door and a new secondary window installed behind the existing door window aperture. A new fire door will also be installed internally between the new study room and the lobby/corridor. Please see attached plans for full details. No alteration will be made to the exterior of the property and there will be no visible difference from outside the property. This work has not commenced and is the subject of this application, however we were advised by the duty planning officer to add in another item of minor works which have already been carried out and for which we are applying for retrospective permission. Retrospective application for a minor alterations which has already been made to the property; 1) the removal of a defunct water tank from a cupboard in the corridor. As these are minor works and the main element of this application is for the proposed works above I have indicated that the work has not started without planning permission. Work on the alteration above was commenced on 15/07/2011 and completed 30/07/2011
