Lower Beeding lies in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England, and is positioned on the B2110, B2115 and A281 roads, approximately 3.5 miles (6 km) south‑east of Horsham. The village is part of the Wealden Forest Ridge, which stretches from Horsham to Tonbridge and is included within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It sits to the south of the A264 between Horsham and Crawley, with the A24 to the west, the A23 to the east and the A272 through Cowfold to the south. The surrounding landscape contains significant woodland, with Forestry England managing 289 hectares of open land, and nearby public woods such as Owlbeech, Leechpool and Buchan Country Park. The area also includes the former Leonardslee Gardens, which were closed to the public in July 2010 and reopened in April 2019, and an 85.4‑hectare site designated as St Leonards Forest Site of Special Scientific Interest.
