Fishermead is part of the civil parish of Campbell Park in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The parish includes the grid‑squares of Fishermead, Newlands, Oldbrook, Springfield, Winterhill, Willen and The Woolstones. It was originally known as Woolstone‑cum‑Willen and formed on 1 April 1934 from the merger of Great Woolstone, Little Woolstone and Willen. The parish was part of Newport Pagnell Rural District until 1974, when that district became part of the Borough of Milton Keynes. In 2012 the districts of Campbell Park (sic), Newlands and Willen were reallocated to other parishes, but the Parish Council continues to use the name. As of December 2022 the council is consulting on changing its name.
