T1 - Turkey Oak i) Remove the small stem that arises from the main stem at 3 feet from ground level. Diameter cut made of 6 inches. ii) Remove two small primary branches growing towards the path behind the house. They are the lowest 1st order branches on the main stem. Diameter cuts of 3 inches. iii) Prune back the lateral branches that directly overhang the house by up to 1 metre. 3rd Order growth only to be removed. Diameter cuts of 2-3 inches made. - Natural target pruning carried out in all cases. - Bs3998 guidelines adhered to. Reasons - The tree overhangs the property to a considerable degree. However, it would adversely affect the vigour and balance of the tree (and increase wind force upon the surrounding trees) to reduce its overall height and width. This work will prevent branches from touching the building during high winds, and will limit unwanted re-growth from over pruning.
