Cheveley is best known for Cheveley Park Stud, a thoroughbred racehorse ownership and breeding operation that has bred and owned many notable horses. The stud is the oldest in Newmarket and has a history of horse breeding on the site for over a thousand years, becoming famous in the early nineteenth century.
