Netheravon is a village situated within the SP 4 postal district of Wiltshire, England, and lies close to the River Avon. The community is centred around All Saints' Church, the Church of England parish church that has stood on the site for many years. The village is also adjacent to Netheravon Airfield, a Ministry of Defence grass strip airfield on Salisbury Plain. Established in 1913 by the Royal Flying Corps, the airfield became RAF Netheravon from 1918 until 1963, then AAC Netheravon until 2012. Buildings dating from 1913 and 1914 remain on part of the site, and the airfield forms part of the Tidworth, Netheravon and Bulford (TidNBul) Garrison. The village’s setting on Salisbury Plain and its proximity to historic military sites give it a distinctive rural character.
