Burderop, Swindon, SN4 0QE

Burderop is a small locality in the SN 4 postal district, situated near the town of Swindon, which lies some 3 miles (5 km) to the northwest. The area is associated with the historic Burderop Park, a Grade II* listed country manor house near Chiseldon, Wiltshire. The manor house was constructed in the early 17th century to a courtyard design and was later altered to a three‑storey square house with bay windows during the 18th century. Burderop Park serves as the manor house of the hamlet of Hodson, to the east of the locality. The surrounding setting includes Burderop Wood to the north of the hamlet, offering wooded countryside typical of the region.
