Speen, Newbury, RG14 1UY

Speen, Berkshire, is a village and civil parish in West Berkshire, England. It lies about 2 miles (3 km) north‑west of the town of Newbury, with the village itself contiguous with Newbury and other settlements such as Bagnor, Stockcross, Woodspeen and Marsh Benham buffered from the town by the A34 road. The area is an even mixture of woodland and agricultural fields, including hay meadows for livestock feed and pasture. Elevation varies across the parish, with the Reading to Taunton Line and the north bank of the River Kennet forming the southern boundary and both banks of the River Lambourn in the north. Benham Park, a listed landscape garden and house, lies in the south‑west of the area. The setting offers a rural character with close proximity to the larger town of Newbury.
