Lavant is a civil parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England, positioned 2.2 miles (3.5 km) north of Chichester. The parish encompasses three villages, one of which is Mid Lavant. Chichester itself is a cathedral city and the sole city in West Sussex, serving as the county town.
