    Outcome in report

Thatch replacement - including the small porch roof on the side of the property. The thatch will be replaced with flush ridge, in combed wheat straw and the historic thatch near to the rafters will be preserved. Use of fireplace and chimney - raising the chimney height to 1.8m (from its current height of approximately 1.2m).This would be carried out sympathetically and not changing the chimney stack in style, only in height via the addition of approximately 60-80cm of layers of reclaimed bricks and keeping the existing chimney pot. Installation of a wood-burning stove in accordance with HETAS regulations. Asbestos roof on the bathroom - remove unsightly asbestos roof on the bathroom and replace with terracotta clay roof tiles to be in-keeping with the adjoining property's roof (18 High Street)
