    COTTINGHAM CONSERVATION AREA - Fell two deciduous trees from the paddock area which restrict sunlight (Photos 1 & 2). Remove unsafe bough from Willow tree and prune Fir tree back to bush size (Photo 3a). Remove lower few boughs of large deciduous trees to allow more light to reach ground level (Photo 3b). Remove Silver Birch due to potential to damage house foundation and large Fir tree as too large and out of character with the line of native deciduous trees (Photo 4, 11 & 12). Remove Silver Birch as too close to another Silver Birch (Photo 5). Remove large Fir tree to allow more light to the northern end of the garden (Photo 6). Remove one Fir tree to allow more sun to the main garden (Photos 7 & 8). Remove one Fir tree and one Ash tree from overgrown area (Photo 9). Prune large Yew tree (removing 5-6 feet) as well as some general pruning along the hedge (Photo 10).
