Cavendish is a village in Suffolk, England, situated within the Sudbury postal district CO 10. The village was historically served by Cavendish railway station, which opened in 1865 and has been considered for merging. The River Stour, a major river in East Anglia, passes through Cavendish and Sudbury. The Stour is 47 miles (76 km) long, rises in eastern Cambridgeshire, and flows east of Haverhill before passing through Cavendish.
