Wild Mill, also referred to as Wildmill, is a district within the town of Bridgend in south Wales. The initial housing estate in this area was constructed in the late 1960s, giving the neighbourhood a distinctive post‑war character. Bridgend itself is a community in Bridgend County Borough and, together with the communities of Brackla, Coychurch Lower and Laleston, forms the town of Bridgend. The town’s western district encompasses the town centre, Newcastle Hill, Tremains and, to the north, Wild Mill. According to the 2001 census the population of the Bridgend community was 13,950, which increased to 14,912 by the 2011 census, reflecting modest growth over that decade.
