Durris, Banchory, AB31 6BF

Durris is a hamlet in the Kincardine and Mearns area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, situated within the chiefly coniferous Durris Forest to the south of the River Dee. The A957 road forms the southwest boundary of the forest, separating it from Fetteresso Forest. The forest includes several smaller named woodlands, and the ancient route of Elsick Mounth crosses the Grampian Mounth within it. Notable natural features nearby include Red Moss and Meikle Carewe Hill. Historic attractions in the vicinity are Raedykes Roman Camp, Muchalls Castle and Maryculter House.
