Since 1996, Whymark & Moulton has delivered expert surveying across Eastern England and London. Led by RICS Fellows with 40 years of experience each, we bridge the gap between architectural design, heritage conservation, and complex dispute resolution for all property types.

About Whymark & Moulton

Established in 1996, we have developed into a premier regional consultancy covering Eastern England and London. We aren't just surveyors; we are a multi-disciplinary team of Building Engineers and Chartered Surveyors dedicated to protecting your property interests, whether you are a private homeowner, a developer, or representing a local council.

Our strength lies in our longevity and the depth of our technical knowledge. With a senior team boasting over 40 years of individual experience in the construction industry, we provide a level of insight that only comes from decades of hands-on practice.

Specialists in Heritage and Listed Buildings

If you own or are looking to purchase a historic property, you need more than a standard survey. Led by Barry Whymark (MSc FRICS C.BuildE FCABE), who holds a Master’s degree in Conservation of the Historic Environment, we specialise in the planning, design, and management of works for listed buildings. We understand the "maze" of the planning process and work closely with Historic England and local officers to ensure your project respects the past while serving your future.

Navigating Property Disputes and Party Walls

Property ownership often comes with legal complexities. Nicholas Moulton (MSc FRICS MCIArb FFPWS) leads our dispute resolution and legal services. With a Master’s in construction law and 40 years of experience, Nick acts as an Expert Witness, Accredited Mediator, and specialist in Party Wall matters. We help our clients resolve boundary disputes and neighbourly issues with professional authority and calm, impartial advice.

From Architectural Design to Final Handover

We take your project from inception to completion. Our technical team, including Richard Page (ABEng) and Robert Osborne (BSc), provides full architectural design services, including 3D computer visualisations and walkthroughs.

Once planning is secured, we don't leave you to manage the builders alone. We provide robust project management and contract administration to ensure your project is:

  • Executed to a proper technical standard
  • Completed for the correct, agreed price
  • Protected by legally binding contracts
