We help you 'Start Right, Stay Right, and End Right.' Led by Douglas Beckwith FRICS, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 46 years of experience, we specialise in removing conflict from construction projects through our unique ROPE methodology and transparent, flat-rate dispute resolution.

At Collaboration Workshop, we believe that construction doesn’t have to be synonymous with conflict. Whether you are a developer, a contractor, or a homeowner embarking on a major build, our goal is simple: to help you Start Right, Stay Right, and End Right.

Operating as the Construction Industry Dispute Avoidance and Resolution (CINDAR) team, we are a privately owned organisation committed to reducing friction and removing disputation from construction activity of all scales.

46 Years of Global Quantity Surveying Expertise

Our team is led by Douglas Beckwith LLB(Hons) PGDip(Bar) LLM FRICS. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over four decades of post-qualification experience, Douglas brings a formidable level of expertise to every project.

Our experience isn't just deep; it's global. We have successfully delivered building, civil engineering, infrastructure, and services installations across:

  • United Kingdom
  • Australia & New Zealand
  • Singapore & South Africa
  • Qatar, Oman, & Germany

The ROPE Methodology: Your Project’s Safety Net

We don't just wait for things to go wrong. We specialise in ROPE Management (Right Outcomes for Project Environments). This is our proprietary methodology designed to identify and manage the hidden costs of contract administration—such as miscommunications, late instructions, and progress delays—before they turn into expensive legal battles.

By using our Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Toolbox (DART), we ensure your project maintains its momentum and stays within budget.

Transparent, Flat-Rate Dispute Resolution

When disputes do arise, the traditional route of adjudication is often fast but rarely cheap. We offer a unique alternative we call agreeable Alternative Dispute Resolution (aADR).

We believe in transparency, which is why we generally carry out our resolution services at a flat rate of 3% of the sum claimed, regardless of the project value. It is a fairer, more collaborative way to reach a conclusion without the spiralling costs of traditional litigation.
