We believe a property survey shouldn't just be a tick-box exercise. Friend Associates is a small, family-run business founded by Marcus Friend, a Chartered Surveyor who has been immersed in the West Midlands property market since 1988.

Marcus brings a unique perspective to every inspection. Having served as a Building Inspector for Birmingham City Council’s Housing Improvement Division, he was the only inspector to receive full sponsorship for both his HNC and his BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying. This deep technical background in local authority standards means we see the structural nuances that others might miss.
