About Max Dixon Surveying

Buying a home is likely the most significant investment you will ever make. At Max Dixon Residential Surveying, we believe you deserve more than a generic checklist. We provide bespoke, RICS-regulated reports designed to ensure your dream home doesn't hide a "house of horrors."

Operating across Norfolk and Suffolk, we combine a modern, analytical mindset with decades of deep-rooted local expertise. Whether you are a first-time buyer or a seasoned investor, we give you the facts you need to negotiate with confidence.

A Blend of Experience and Analytical Rigour

Our team brings a unique perspective to every inspection. Max Dixon, a SAVA-qualified surveyor, transitioned from a career in high-level market research and project management. This background instilled an investigative, analytical approach that allows him to identify property defects and trace their root causes with precision.

Working alongside Max is Eammon Andrews FRICS, a veteran of the East Anglian property market. Eammon has been surveying in the region since 1983, bringing over 40 years of experience to our firm. Having worked in Norwich, Ipswich, and across the market towns of North Suffolk, his knowledge of the local landscape is virtually unmatched.

Specialists in East Anglian Heritage

If you are looking at a property that is a little out of the ordinary, you are in safe hands. We have a particular passion for the historic architecture that defines our region. We specialise in:

  • Timber-framed houses and cottages
  • Clay lump constructions (common in Norfolk and Suffolk)
  • Victorian terraced housing
  • Listed Buildings and conservation area properties

Modern Technology for a Better View

We don't just look at what is at eye level. We offer Drone Surveys as an independent service or as an add-on to our standard reports. This allows us to inspect high-level roofs, chimney stacks, and guttering that are usually invisible from the ground, providing you with a truly comprehensive picture of the building's condition.

Why Choose Us?

We know that reading a technical report can be daunting. That is why we include a 30-minute phone consultation with every Level 2 and Level 3 survey. We will walk you through the findings, explain the "traffic light" condition ratings, and discuss any necessary repairs in plain English.

"Our mission is to provide the clarity you need to make an informed decision. We treat every property as if we were buying it ourselves."
