Led by Experience: From Lego to the National Trust

Our Director, David Clare FRICS C.Build E MCABE MFPWS, has been obsessed with how buildings work since he was three years old. That passion has seen him renovate everything from a Victorian school to an oast house and a church.

Before founding West Country Surveyors, David held senior roles at national firms and served as a surveyor for the National Trust. This unique background means we have a particular affinity for the vernacular architecture of the West Country—from cob and thatch to historic stone.
