West Ogwell is a village and former civil parish and manor, now part of the parish of Ogwell, within the Teignbridge district of Devon, England. The settlement is situated 2 miles south‑west of the town of Newton Abbot and 1 mile west of the village of East Ogwell. Its church and manor house are described as “lying hidden away on their own”, suggesting a secluded setting. In 1891 the parish had a population of 39, and in 1894 it was abolished and merged with East Ogwell to form the parish of Ogwell.
