- Aug 2025Tree WorksTreesIn report
1x Leylandii Cypress, sectionally dismantle, fell and remove to ground level. All arising material shall be removed from site and returned to our premises for recycling. Justification for Works: The proposed works involve the complete removal of a small Leylandii Cypress tree through sectional dismantling. The justification for this action is as follows: Poor long-term suitability and limited amenity value: The tree is a non-native, fast-growing conifer species with limited ecological or landscape value in this location. Its presence offers minimal contribution to the overall amenity of the area and does not align with the preferred long-term planting scheme for the site. The tree has been heavily trimmed as a hedge boundary over the years & is now deemed unsuitable for its location. Proximity to the neighbouring boundary & garden area and constrained growing environment: The tree is located in a confined space, where its continued growth would create issues in terms of proximity to buildings, boundary features, & shared access. Removal at this stage will prevent future structural conflict and maintenance burden. Preventative management and landscape improvement: Early removal of this specimen will help prevent shading, dominance, and root competition in the immediate area. This provides an opportunity for a more suitable and sustainable replacement planting scheme, if appropriate, in line with broader landscape objectives. Safe working methods: The tree will be sectionally dismantled using appropriate arboricultural techniques to safely control the descent of all parts. All work will be carried out in accordance with BS 3998:2010 ? Tree Work Recommendations. Waste Management and Site Clearance: All arising material will be removed from site and returned to a Devon Tree Services depot for recycling. The area will be left in a safe, clean, and tidy condition upon completion. Environmental Considerations: Works will be scheduled outside the main bird nesting seaso...
