Hullavington is a locality situated near Chippenham in the SN 14 postal district of Wiltshire, England. It lies within the historic bounds of the former Royal Air Force Hullavington, which opened in June 1937 and served primarily as a training base. The station closed on 31 March 1992 when it was transferred to the British Army and renamed Buckley Barracks. The airfield portion of the site, known as Hullavington Airfield, continued to be used for RAF gliding operations until 2016, when it was sold to the technology company Dyson. The area retains a rural atmosphere, with the legacy of the airfield influencing the local landscape and character. Residents benefit from proximity to the market town of Chippenham, which offers local amenities and services while maintaining a tranquil setting.
